Recent ER Job

Our Emergency Response team was recently called to a significant diesel spill. A metal structure had pierced a truck’s fuel tank. The diesel spill was noticed only as the truck departed from the truck-yard, resulting in a significant area of contamination on bitumen and unsealed surfaces.

The ER team responded rapidly to the situation, utilising a number of key tools viz. absorbent materials; detergents; high pressure power wash; and scrubber brooms. The excess liquids were removed from site by a vacuum tanker, and the contaminated soil was loaded by bob-cat into a skip for further treatment at WRR facilities. Furthermore, soil samples were taken for analysis at independent laboratories to confirm that all contaminant had been removed.

WRRs rapid response to the spill coupled with laboratory confirmations resulted in a satisfied customer outcome.
